Our 3D model of your lake will provide the information needed for optimal enhancement and maintenance of overall ecological integrity, aesthetics and recreational opportunity.

One beneficial, yet very important use of a detailed lake map involves water-use safety issues. Our detailed maps allow anglers and boaters the ability to familiarize themselves with overall depths, boat lanes and obstacles. Through extensive review of the maps, lake managers have the ability to identify unsafe boating and fishing areas, thereby allowing for development of lake safety plans.

In addition to our base pond and lake mapping services (i.e., the contour and 3D formats), we also offer comprehensive and detailed mapping of bottom sediment. The sediment map, which illustrates site-specific sediment depths and volumes, can be integrated into the base lake maps. The sediment map allows lake owners and managers the ability to determine dredging requirements (i.e., sediment removal). This information is very useful, and ensures cost-effectiveness, when developing lake dredging plans and monitoring sediment loading over a long period of time. The sediment maps are developed using specialized GPS, digital sediment depth recording, and GIS techniques.

For specialized needs, we can also map various features of the resource. These may include, but not limited to, aquatic vegetation beds, wetlands, forests, streams, irrigation canals, inlet and outlet features, dam facilities, habitat structure, food plots (for food plot design), boat ramps, fishing piers, duck blinds, waterfowl nests and site-specific channels.
